Canadian singer Celine Dion has revealed that she suffers from Stiff Person Syndrome. The 54-year-old took to Instagram to disclose her medical condition responsible for uncontrollable muscle spasms.

While we are still learning about this rare condition, we now know that it is the cause of all spasms I’ve had. Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulty walking and preventing me from using my vocal cords to sing like I used to. pain to tell you today that it means I won’t be ready to resume my tour in Europe in February”.

What is Stiff Person Syndrome or SPS?
SPS is a rare condition.

According to the US National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), Stiff person syndrome (SPS) is a rare neurological disorder with features of an autoimmune disease. It is characterized by fluctuating muscle stiffness in the trunk and extremities and an increased sensitivity to stimuli such as noise, touch and emotional stress, which can cause muscle spasms.
