Dancing with the Stars pro wants to be a judge after Len Goodman’s departure

Dancing with the starsCheryl Burke has thrown her hat in the ring for a judging position after Len Goodman stepped down.

The judge parted ways with the US version of the show after its final season, six years after stepping down Strictly come dance in the UK, while Burke has also made her final appearance as a professional partner to the celebrities on the show.

The timing seems perfect for Burke to do an Anton Du Beke and return as a judge next season, but while she won’t confirm if that’s the case, she told People that she is ready.

“I think at this point the whole world knows that I would certainly like to. But it’s not up to me,” she told the publication.

“What’s up to me is my future, and I know it’s time for me to evolve and see what else is out there. Because there’s life after Dancing with the stars, so I heard. I do not know yet. I’ll let you know.”

People notes that Burke has made comments in other interviews that hint at giving talks for another major TV project, and that she wanted more free time to dedicate herself to a wellness and mental health-focused dance program.
