Developer Arc System Works has announced the latest addition to his popular 2D fighter Guilty Gear Pursuit. the fighter, Shame Kiskewill be added to the roster as part of the game’s $25 Season Pass 2 DLC and the Internet seem pretty pleased with the announcement. So happy, in fact, that people call Sin their favorite twink.

To strive is the newest item in the main Guilty gear franchise. The fighter launched in July 2021 and has sold over 1 million units to date (an apparent first for the series) and regularly appears on fighting game tournaments such as Evo and UFA. ArcSys has been steadily introducing new content into the game, including fan favorite Bridget, which was canonically confirmed as trans. Score one for queer representation. However, the team is not done with the game yet Season Pass 2 adds even more characters and stages.

It’s worth unpacking what a twink is to understand how and why people have come to this conclusion about Sin Kiske. According to Urban Dictionaryis a twink “a gay man with attractive, boyish features” who is young (stereotypically between 18 and 25 years old), often blonde and slim. Dictionary.com outlines some similar characteristics for the word, and defines twink as a “young, attractive gay man with a slim, boyish appearance”. A bottom, actually. Someone who would probably go “uwu” while blushing profusely. As you can tell from his looks, Sin isn’t exactly slim, but he retains many of the other features: blonde, boyish, and no body hair (as far as we can tell).

However, as Twitter user armormodechang pointed out above, Sin is huge. He has broad shoulders, muscles that seem as big as his head, and a form-fitting cropped tank that not only shows off his midriff (and navel) but also his bulging chest. Sin is quite a far cry from what would normally be considered a “twink”. Instead we have a ‘twunk’ here. I’m sure you can use context clues to piece together a definition of what that means, but according to Urban dictionary, it’s someone who “has the face of a hunk, with the physique of a hunk.” Bottoms that pretend to be a top. But regardless of how people classify Sin, the love pours in. There’s a ton of fan art of the character that chibi himturn it into a Shoujo characterand in general making him happier than he probably could be (which I think is cool). There are also some hilarious memes that poke fun at how he got the thinnest or weakest peek inside Guilty gear.

Sin is in the Guilty gear franchise for. The son of series deuteragonist Ky Kiske, Sin first made his playable appearance in 2007’s Guilty Gear 2: Overture. While he maintains many of his signature moves, Sin gains new abilities and looks to have brutal combo potential with that tall flagpole of his when he arrives on November 24.
