Holly oak spoilers follow.
Holly oak has seen Eric Foster suspected of being responsible for the death of his sister Verity Hutchinson as the village comes to terms with the devastating news.
While viewers know that Bobby Costello is actually behind Verity’s death, tonight’s premiere episode (December 7) saw Maxine suspect Eric following the discovery of Verity’s voicemail messages.
While everyone in the village was in shock over Verity’s death, John-Paul was surprised to discover that Goldie was still concerned about Bobby’s behavior.
Despite her concerns, Mercedes refused to listen to any concerns about her son. They were interrupted by Bobby, who was not upset when he learned about the lawyer’s death, but realized he was missing his Christmas wreath left at the crime scene.

Meanwhile, Maxine recovered her lost phone and realized she had missed several calls from Verity, who wanted to tell her that she had discovered Eric visiting the incel forums again.
At the dog, Maxine played everyone her latest voicemails and accused Eric of killing his sister. “Verity finally believed everything I said about him. She saw him for what he was and he killed her,” she said.
However, Eric insisted he was with Tony all evening, so he couldn’t have been at the law firm. However, despite his innocence claims, Maxine pressed the issue and warned Zoe about the voicemails.
Outside of Dee Valley attorneys, Mercedes, Theresa and Bobby brought flowers to the scene. When Zoe complimented Theresa’s choice of bouquet, Bobby was able to use the distraction to sneak in and retrieve his halo.

Back at The Dog, the group all shared their favorite memories of Verity, while Tony planned a memorial service for the following day.
Outside, Eric confronted Maxine about her accusations and threatened to keep her quiet.
“If you think I’m capable of killing my sister, what do you think I would do to you?” he said.
