Women’s basketball season is in full swing, and ESPN’s family of networks has coverage starting Sunday, November 20 and continuing throughout the week. The schedule features an impressive series of showdowns to take fans into the holiday weekend, including a 1v2 matchup and three tournaments featuring some of the best teams in the country. About the Women’s College Basketball Celebration Week
ESPN is leveraging the power of its various networks to bring you as much women’s college basketball as possible this week. The #1 South Carolina Gamecocks will travel to defeat the #2 Stanford Cardinal on Sunday, November 20 at 3PM ET on ABC. The blockbuster matchup will kick off a five-week run of women’s college basketball regular season on ABC.
The Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis tournament also kicks off on Sunday, November 20. In the women’s there are #3 Texas, #6 Louisville, #11 Tennessee, Gonzaga, Marquette, Rutgers, South Dakota State and UCLA. On Monday, November 21, the championship game will air on ESPN2 at 12:00 PM, followed by the third place game at 2:30 PM on ESPNU.
The Phil Knight Invitational (PKI) and Phil Knight Legacy events will be played November 24, 25 and 27 at three facilities in Portland, Oregon: the Chiles Center on the campus of the University of Portland, the Moda Center in the Rose Quarter and Veterans Memorial Colosseum. The PKI field includes #7 Iowa State, #23 North Carolina, #21 Oregon, and Michigan State. The Phil Knight Legacy bracket includes #4 Iowa, #5 UConn, Duke, and Oregon State. Championship matches for both events will be played on Sunday, November 27, with the Phil Knight Legacy Championship airing on ABC at 1pm and the PKI Championship live at 7:30pm on ESPN2.
