RM Sotheby’s has just announced that the Bugatti Chiron Profilée will go up for sale at auction in Paris on February 1, 2023.
The flagship of the automotive industry, the Profilée is designed with a flowing, fixed tail at the rear – it’s designed to provide stability and control even when the car is performing at its top speed of 380km/h. In addition, the tail also uses negative pressure to suck hot air from the engine compartment through the use of two inner tunnels in the carbon wing for high temperatures.
For the front of the car, the Profilée has been supplemented with wider air intakes and a larger Bugatti horse show grille to direct more cool air to the radiators. A revised front splitter is also included and it works in conjunction with a sculpted underside to further maximize downforce and airflow.
When it comes to road performance, however, the Profilée retains much of the same purity as its Pur Sport counterpart and carries over a high-tech design for lateral grip and acceleration. It is also powered by the same 1,500 horsepower development as the Bugatti W16 engine, with 15% shorter gear ratios. Accelerating from 0 to 100 in 2.3 seconds and accelerating from 200 km/h in 5.5 seconds, the Profilée’s top speed of 380 km/h is much faster than the 350 km/h of the Chiron Pur Sport.
Available for auction in a primary color of “Argent Atlantique”, no other Bugatti Chiron is configured in this hue. The lower part of the car is also finished in exposed carbon fiber and is tinted in the existing Bugatti color “Bleu Royal Carbon”. The wheels are finished in a “Le Patron” shade made to match the carbon tone. To round off the external design, polished aluminum elements have been added to the horseshoe-shaped grille.
The interior features a whole range of different fabrics, such as leather, carbon and solid aluminum. This is also the first Chiron to feature a woven leather interior trim – and this has been applied to the dashboard, door panels and center console. Equipped with comfort seats in “Deep Blue” leather, a black anodized frame insert in the center console is also included, complemented by the Profilée signature.
You can take a closer look at the Bugatti Chiron Profilée above and it will be available at auction by RM Sotheby’s on February 1, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to charity.
