Strictly Come Dancing announces its eighth celebrity elimination

Strictly come dance eliminated another couple after the big Blackpool Week episode.

Blackpool, the birthplace of ballroom dancing and one of the Strict‘s biggest themed weeks, the show has not hosted for three years now due to the pandemic, so this week saw the dancers make up for lost time.

After the sequins came down after Saturday’s big show, it was announced that two couples would be in the bottom two of tonight’s (Nov. 20) episode.

Despite the fantastic performances, it was Tyler West and his dance partner Dianne Buswell and Molly Rainford and her dance partner Carlos Gu who were back on the dance floor for the dreaded dance-off.

After performing again, it was time Tyler and Diana that were turned off.

Tyler was full of praise for the show and his partner and announced that Strict has changed his life.

“When you watch the show at home you wonder what it must be like to dance to it, it’s everything and more, it changed my life,” he told co-host Tess Daly. “To think I was a shy kid who never talked to anyone, danced in front of millions, I can’t put it into words.

“It’s my mother’s favorite show. I bought her to Blackpool. My grandmother bless her. Always watched over me on this journey.”

He said the show has given him more confidence and a “newfound family” with the Strict dancers, judges and backstage crew, and said his dance partner Dianne “changed my life”.

He explained: “But this girl here, I’m blessed with the best, she’s what Strict is about and she changed my life, I have no doubt she will be in my life forever.”

Strictly come dance airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One while spin-off show Strictly speaking, it takes two broadcast on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are also streamed on BBC iPlayer.
