A Second Division basketball handshake line after the game ended in a wild brawl between fans and both teams in Puerto Rico on Wednesday night.

Players from the Salinas Dolphins and Adjuntas Suns lined up to shake hands seconds after the final buzzer when Adjuntas’ Javier Torres punched one of the Salinas players in the face.

Footage from the fight showed Torres standing behind one of his teammates waiting in line to shake hands after Adjuntas beat Salinas 84-79 in overtime at the Rafael Llul Coliseum.

Two Salinas players, wearing their warm-up shirts and not on the ground when the game ended, walked to the front of the line and approached Torres.

It looked like quick words were exchanged just before Torres landed a right hand on the Salinas player sending him to the ground.

Torres was led away by one of his teammates, while another tried to play peacemaker while Salina’s players tried to stop the attacked player from running after Torres.

The brawl worsened when the player who was punched by Torres ran away from his teammates and rushed at a Suns player and was knocked to the ground.

Fans rushed the field as players from both teams exchanged blows.

Mobile phone footage showed two Adjuntas players attacking and swinging a Salinas player before he was pushed from behind and fell over the railing at the court seating area.

Moments later, a fan charged at Torres and shoved him backward, throwing him over the rail before one of Torres’ teammates retaliated and punched the man.

Angel Irizarry, co-owner of Adjunta, declined to comment to DailyMail.com because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the brawl.

DailyMail.com reached out to the Puerto Rican Basketball League for comment.
